5 Easy Ways to Quickly Dry your Nail Polish

There's nothing more irritating than wasting half an hour while doing absolutely nothing while waiting for your nail polish to dry off completely. Plus, you have to make sure that your nails don't get ruined the time you set your hand into your pocket or need to tickle that spot behind your ear. Happily, there are many ways to rush up what can otherwise appear horribly long drying moments.

Chill it out
Because cold sets polish, ice water dips are also an excellent setting trick. Right before you begin applying polish on your nails, fill a bowl with some ice cubes and put cold water over the top. Then, once you're done painting, soak your nails in for just about a minute. This is an easy way to help preserve against divots as it helps harden polish all the way within and not just the top. The reverse also holds: if you're having difficulty removing your polish, dipping your hands in warm water will also make it easier. Now, you got a trick!

Blow-dry it
Salons use blowers to speed up the drying process further, though your hair dryer serves just as well. The key is to set it on the "cool" setting. The heat makes the polish from a firm, so giving your newly polished nails a blast of cold air is way more helpful.

Spray it on
There is nail-drying spray at the drugstore, and it does help your polish settle in just a couple of minutes. Just idle a few minutes after you spray it on and wash your hands, so you don't stink like canola oil.

Top it off
Applying a quick-dry topcoat is forever a smart idea since it helps hold everything in place and preserves your polish. The single alert is that the still-liquid polish under can move around, finishing in lumps or breaks, so don't think about it as a cure-all idea.

Thin it out
Rather putting one or two coats of polish, why not just apply three very thin coats, and allow each coat to dry for a few of minutes before you put on the next layer. It may seem like it slows down your polishing time. However, it does overall drying time way faster.
