How to Harmonize Accessories to your Outfit

Your accessories can make or totally break your look. When deciding which fashion accessories to harmonize your outfit, you should consider the color, scale, and style of the accessories and of course the occasion in mind.

The color

When decide to wear black, white or any neutrals, you may find accessories in any color to look fashionable and coordinated. If you're dressed in a colorful outfit, though, make sure your that your fashion with your accessories doesn't clash.

It all goes down to the fundamentals of the color wheel. The primary colors are red, blue and yellow. While the secondary colors are those that emerge from combining two primary colors.

The primary and secondary colors that are placed side by side on the wheel are comparable to each other. They act very well together when they are paired with the same level of brightness or darkness.
If you wish to do a big fashion statement, pick the primary and secondary colors that are contrary to each other on the color wheel. Matching these colors result to bolder and more adventurous statement, and some colors don't look as great collectively as others. Avoid associating red with green, though, except it's the Christmas season. Try to discover which colors serve you best. Overall, don't apply more than three colors in your complete ensemble.

The Scale

The scale of your accessories is very crucial, too. If you're wearing patterns, simple accessories are always the best option you have. Accessories and pieces of jewellery that are too complicated will make the prints look tacky. Likewise goes for the ruffled, embroidered, sequined or otherwise embellished pieces: Wear minimized accessories to keep the accent to your outfit.

The scale and the shape of your purse or handbag are also significant. Think of your body type in addition to whatever you are wearing. Those tall or thin women look great with short, slouchy handbags such as clutches and hobos. Those petite women should not use oversized satchels; these bags will overwhelm their petite frames. Also, short ladies should steer clear of purses or bags with long straps. The plus-size and hourglass-shaped ladies would look amazing with medium-sized structured or those boxy purses or handbags to balance their curvy shapes.

The Style

Fashion accessories can establish your style. Wearing a white shirt and jeans or a plain black dress can look totally distinctive depending on your selection of your shoes, handbag, jewelry and other kinds of accessories.

Fashion accessories can take all outfits from being drab to fab completely. They can also help increase your wardrobe since you can manage multiple outfits from one basic dress just by swapping your accessories. To make your look the best, put as much work into choosing your fashion accessories as you do the principal components of your whole ensemble.
