Men's Altered Way of Dressing

From being one of the fundamental needs of humans, clothing has not only become a need but also of want, not in the sense of choosing whether to dress or not but to have the freedom of what to decide to wear.  Men, after women, have also been a part of the fashion world.

Nowadays, we often find men who go out of the traditional way of wearing such clothes and make their style of wearing them. While some just add something in the way they wear to make it look classy and different. However, no matter how we do it, one real question should strike on our minds: Are we doing it right?

Here's how we should know.
  • Don’t simply push up your sleeves or just roll them up. You should fold over the sleeve inside out up your arm. Then fold the bottom of the inside out sleeve over the cuff, lastly, leave the end of the cuff exposed.
  • Most men dress jeans that are either too large or too tight to them. You should wear jeans wherein you can fit two fingers comfortably between your hip and the waistband. Indeed, it's the right size.
  • Men often believe that they found the best shorts for them but here is one thing you should remember. Don't wear big baggy shorts that fall under your knee but bear in mind that no one wants to see you walking showing your entire thigh. Wear shorts wisely that has a length that reaches your knee or has two to three inches above your knee.
  • White socks should never be worn in any outfit unless you are doing something athletic. It is worth the effort to wear socks that would complement on what you wear for the day.
  • One of the rules that everyone knows about fashion is that matching your shoes to your belt if both are brown or black. Remember, they don't have to match exactly. Sometimes,  our shoes are lighter than the belt or the other way around.
  • Don't just tuck in or untuck polo, shirts or formal shirts. Tuck in formal shirts in when they are longer than the hemline and untuck shirts when the hemline curve is at the hip. Never untuck formal shirts if hemline is longer than the hip or you will look like wearing a dress.
  • When you are wearing a V-neck, keep the bottom of the V not below two to three inches of your collar bone.

Those are some rules we should remember when thinking about fashion but do not limit yourself. The best way to discover new fashion is by experimenting. Embrace different styles that make you feel comfortable.
