Things We Haven't Thought About Men with Long Hair

Traditionally, women bear the long hair, which added to their femininity. Soon, it happened to be dominant in men to have a longer hair which you can see today as the trend. According to history, it started as a support to the rebellious men who dared to let their hair grow free. Here are some facts we do not know about men having long hair:

1. Growing a long hair isn't usually a choice, but sometimes it is. For some men, a long hair is a fashion statement. They are men who want to be in rock bands or they are those who try to copy hairdos of famous personalities. But for others, it isn't a choice. Some men belong to a group who innately grow their hair long.

2. Men with long hair have higher possibilities of getting harassed in airports. Certain people may automatically draw conclusions based on a man's appearance. This has been true to a man who was once disrespected because of having his hair grow long.

3. Men with long hair do not hate those with short ones. They respect people who want to keep their hair short as much as they want others to understand why they chose to have theirs.

4. You are not anybody. You are someone with a man's ponytailed hair. A man is officially counted as "longhair" once they discover they can tie it back. Sometimes, for some men, this is the point here they feel discouraged or hesitant about their hair length.

5. You know the "hair-archy"? Someone who has a long hair once said those they consider as super members are those with a very long hair. Thus, there is a high rank for those who have the most extended and a low rank for those who have the shortest.

6. Men also use conditioner. Yes, as women do, men also take care of their hair, use a brush and other leave-on.

7. More men would prefer the long hair as long as they could. The thing is, the society is not used to having men with long hair, so they are afraid of growing theirs long.
