How to Make Your Rhinestone Jewelry Last

Rhinestones are one of the most common stones used in jewelry. They are used to create bright and striking colors that to imitate large gemstones. However, rhinestones are different with gemstones but offer the same exact beauty and elegance. Here are some simple tips for storage & cleaning your rhinestone jewelry:

Stay away from the heat
Most rhinestones are set in place using just glue. So, when its exposed to the sun, it melts the glue that is holding the rhinestones in place.

Keep it dry
The number one reason which will cause the rhinestone to lose its shine is moisture!  NEVER sink it into any type of liquid.  The moisture can make the foil separate from the rears of the rhinestones which results in losing their clarity, color, and of course sparkle.

Store it properly
Store your rhinestone jewelry properly. As much as possible, in boxes to avoid chipping your pretty stones. Don't ever put everything in one box as it can cause scratches and damage.

Clean them well
If you clean your rhinestones well, it can help them retain their luster. You can use a lint-free cloth and simply wipe the surface of the stones. Only spray to the cloth and never directly to the jewelry.

Take care when cleaning your rhinestone jewelry. Just gently rub and pat them dry. You may use Q-tip to make sure to don't scratch them.

Rhinestones are totally sophisticated and delicate piece of jewelry and if you want to make them last, apply our simple tip and you'll have your rhinestones last.
