Probably, just like everyone else, you too have some time in your life asked, what's up with tattered denim whoever invented you, hail!
Tattered denim has been in the fashion for a long time and just other fashion trends it goes off and on and on.
Admit it; tattered denim is really cool and stylish. You can pair it with anything and even wear it anywhere. Especially now that it's summer, tattered denim shorts will inevitably flood the streets, malls and of course the beach.
Tattered jeans are so easy to DIY. In fact, if you go to YouTube, there are tons of DIY tutorials that teach you exactly how to achieve that dream tattered denim. You just need an old denim, a pair of scissors that can do the job and some tweezers if you prefer.
Although we only see tattered denim, there are actually three types of blemish you can do to your denim.
What are they?
The hole
The hole is basically a window. The straight horizontal cut usually placed in the knee area. This is very common to jeans. Just make sure that after you make this horizontal cut scrape the edges for a nicer look.
The shreds
Shreds are the fabric that has been torn where the threads remain hanging while covering the whole partially. This is usually placed in the pocket area.
The scrapes
Scrapes are the result of abrasions and or scratches to the denim's surface. To achieve a better result of scrapes you can use anything that is rough and hard. Others even use stones to do the job.
Tattered denim is probably going to stay longer than we all think; knowing that it never goes out of style.
