Here is How to Wisely Choose Your Bath Soap

The battle between different natural soaps seems to be never-ending. Even though the labels in some products display the long unpronounceable ingredients and lovely elements such as lavender, some of them are not as clean and satisfying as you might think. In fact, liquid soaps often contain synthetic ingredients that could potentially dry and harm the skin. Some bar soaps are also containing synthetic ingredients and petroleum which are definitely harmful not only to the skin but also to the environment. Natural soaps, on the other hand, are usually made with organic vegetable oil as the main ingredient. But does this mean that natural soaps are better to go than the rest of the displays? To help you with this, here are four factors to consider when choosing your next soap product.

First, consider which one lathers best. Even though bars and liquids typically make the same amount of suds on bare hands, liquid soaps create a richer lather on washcloths and scrubbing tools. Regardless, it is always better to use those scrubbing tools than to directly apply it to your bare hands.

Second, consider which one lasts longer. Of course, bar soaps last longer than the liquid products. In order to sustain and extend the lifespan of a bar, all you need to do is to store it in a well-drained, dry spot rather than in a damp soap dish. This can prevent it from melting away when not in use.

Next, consider which one is more sanitary. Many have believed that between a bar soap and a liquid soap, the latter is more sanitary. But to be true, though a little bit of bacteria is undeniable in a used bar, it all gets washed off as it is being used.

And finally, consider which one is best for the environment. One thing that’s good about bar soaps is that it comes with less packaging. If you are into using a body wash, look for a bottle that’s made to be Eco-friendly, like a PET plastic, which is produced without any toxic effects behind and is the most easily recycled material in the world.
