5 Simple Tips to Properly Apply Your Serums

Serums are highly intensive and active; designed to seep into the skin in ways normal moisturizers just can’t. For others, serums are unmistakably worth the expense of it's loaded with several benefits including increasing firmness, smoothing fine lines, promoting cell turnover, boosting brightness, and fixing discoloration. But the thing is, you have to learn how to apply them properly to get the most out of serums.

Learn our 5 simple tips to properly apply your serums today to get the most out of its value and benefits.

Cleansing is the key
Serums are made to seep to skin pores and if your skin has dirt and dead skin, serums can't penetrate your skin. So, make sure to wash your face properly before applying the serum.

Tip: Use warm water when washing your face as it helps to open up your pores. You may dab warm moist towel to your face to gently open pores and leave skin slightly moist.

Don't apply the serum on dry face
Before applying your serum, don't completely dry pat your face. Leave it a little damp. Damp skin is said to absorb better than a completely dry skin.

Tip: Press the serum on your skin using your palm rather than your fingertips for the heat of your palm helps activate its ingredients.

Don't apply too much
Serums are already super concentrated. So, just a little amount will do. Applying too much will just waste the product and of course your money.

Tip: Just apply tiny dots of serum all over your face and then blend gently and quickly all over.

Give it time
Should you use your oils, creams or moisturizer, let the serum sink in first and even before you apply your foundation and makeup.

Tip: Tap the serum to sink fully into the deeper skin layers. Do it for 3-5 minutes until serum is fully dry.

Let it do its work
When serum is applied, you may feel tingling sensations but don't worry, it's only an indication that its active ingredients are doing its magic.
