The
rapid growth of population brings a wide scope of technology. In the
21st century, technology has been more powerful than ever before.
Everyone you see walking around surely has a phone in their hands,
pockets or bag. Cellphone shops are found everywhere today. Not only in
malls but also online why people can do shopping by just a click. As the
power of these gadgets to make our lives easier have grown, so does the
manufacturers who produce knock - off ones and copy the original brand
names. To be sure you don't fall as victims of those fake products, here
are some tips to help you avoid getting tricked.
1. Packaging
A
loose or tampered packaging is a sign of a neglected product. Next time
especially when you buy online, don't be carried away by the excitement
of opening a new package. Instead, check it first and look for a clean
and presentable packaging.
2. Unboxing
Any
gadget that comes in a plastic casing is most probably a fake product.
Also, look for any information, instructions, or details written in a
language foreign to the country where you bought the product. If found
any, the product might be a fake one.
3. User Manual
The
user manual is a guide on how to use the product. It shall be written
in the same language as the country of purchase. If not, there is a high
chance that your product is illegitimate.
4. Product Material
Once
you get the product, take a close look at it and look for any dents or
unusual marks. The product shall also have a shiny appearance and not a
matte look. Otherwise, your product maybe a second hand or a knock -
off.
5. Fonts
Top
brand names and companies use uniform appearance of fonts, colors, and
shapes in their logos. Other manufacturers might not be able to copy the
whole thing perfectly and that's one thing you should observe.
6. Charger
Knock
- off chargers are everywhere and we are often tempted to purchase them
because of its affordability and availability. But what about quality?
Original chargers are fast charging chargers and are surely long
lasting. Usually they are a bit different from the original ones as to
some small details in their physical appearance. You can compare to
those original chargers you know.
7. Cuts
Check
the nature of cuts on you phone as it may be far different from the
cuts by the original manufacturer. For example, iPhone 6 have seamless
cuts in the charger outlet while imitation products show sharp cuts with
very thick outline.
8. Screen
You
may think they did it well, but fake products usually have more visible
camera like lights and brighter screens compared to the legit products.
