Home Facial Massages: The Secret to Glowing Skin

If you have ever left the spa with a glowing skin and questioned why it never feels and looks that way at home, the answer is actually in your hands. Forget about using fancy products or eating fad diets—when it comes to having that beautiful glow, a little self-massage does great wonders for your skin complexion. Based on the renowned facialist Georgia Louise, who touched the faces of Katy Perry, Emma Stone, and even Anna Wintour, to discover exactly how to achieve that glow we all want.

While this method may seem totally strange to you, remember that self-administered facial massages have been practiced for centuries. "The belief that massages continued vitality of life helped the idea make its move to the U.S during the 19th century. Also, the fact that you can get a facelift without undergoing surgery by only massaging your face has grown quite widespread—so much that it is now called the Face Yoga," said Georgia Louise.

Don't worry because you won't sweat that much like in a real Yoga Session. However remember that facial muscles struggle just as hard as the rest of your body muscles so that they can profit from a rub down, too. According to Georgia, the pressure produced by the massage technique will help move blood into congested areas, making the new blood to flow in. That aid in circulation is what makes you glowing, but other advantages include renewed skin tone and natural muscle contouring; an instantaneous neck-tension, headache, and stress relief; relieving nervous disorders and repairing liver and gall bladder irregularities.
It sounds a brilliant idea, isn't it? But before you jump in, here are simple rules you must remember.

First, just like your body requires any form of lubrication through a body massage, so is your face. You may use any light and non-comedogenic calming oil like the jojoba oil because its molecules almost resemble with the sebum in your skin.

Next, you must learn the technique. Start your massage stroke method with soft gliding moves. Do upward strokes to provide muscles with a facelift. Create upwards and outwards strokes. Essentially, you don’t desire to pull your skin in any other directions that you don’t want it settling in.
Georgia said that you should concentrate on your cheeks, eyes, jawline, and mouth area. She warns about massaging too close to the areas of the eyes and eyelids because of that skin in those areas are very thin and delicate. Include your brand-new facial massage routine into your everyday skin care habit right after you cleanse or wash but right before you apply toner and or the moisturizer.
Now, that you know the secret to a glowing skin done at home, make sure you master the massaging technique, choose nicely scented oil and or order your facial massager.

BB Cream and its Benefits

In our journey to gain flawless-looking skin, we have been running through different department stores and drugstores. Now, time-strapped and reluctant to work with fussy brushes and or sponges, we are tapping into the advanced skincare: Blemish Balm or BB Cream.

Applied using your fingertips, this lightweight BB is very easy to use and are providing traditional foundations a better competition. BB cream works to hydrate and to reduce the occurrence of blemishes and discoloration for an extra even skin complexion. But BB creams also carry a potent cocktail of helpful ingredients that includes an anti-aging serum; a wide spectrum of sunscreen; a color evener for redness, blemishes, and dark spots; an antioxidant; an anti-inflammatory; and a makeup primer. BB cream promises to do the job of primer, moisturizer, serum, and a foundation all at once — quite a great work for a little package.

The original BB cream was created in the 1960s by the German dermatologist named Dr. Christine Schrammek to better preserve patients’ skin after surgery. It worked well, and with unexpected side benefits: skin lightening and brightening. These effects took on in the ’80s in Korea, and news reached to Japan, China, and all of the Southeast Asia. Most of the people from Asia have darker skin tone, so blemish balms were formulated to help lighten the age spots, blemishes, and acne scars—actually treating the skin while giving a full coverage.

What are the benefits of using BB creams?
Many BB creams promise sufficient sun protection, with broad-spectrum of SPF 30 or even higher that the American Academy of Dermatology's reference for daily use. What is more, BB creams usually comprise zinc oxide or the titanium oxide which are physical sunblock that has built-in water-resistant characteristics.

When it's about the skin treatment, you can find BB creams that include:

  • Anti-aging ingredients, including antioxidants and peptides such as the essential vitamins A, E, and C
  • Moisturizing substances like glycerin and hyaluronic acid.
  • Elements such as arbutin and licorice that help even skin tone
  • Light-reflecting mica to provide skin with a luminous finish
  • Silicone-based elements, such as dimethicone, that support in smoothing the skin, serving much like a foundation base does.

The aim is just to emphasize your natural features by improving and defining your contour. So, give this beauty secret a try, take a mirror, your makeup brushes, and your contour kit, and let us create some contouring!

What you'll need:
  • Blusher Brush
  • Angled Brush
  • Bronzing Brush
  • Flat Brush
Step by Step Contouring
If you normally use foundation, start with this to provide yourself a good foundation to work over. When you are set to start contouring process, suck your cheeks in! Now, using an angled blusher brush sweep a Bronzing powder into the now said hollow of your cheekbone. Brush in a slanting manner towards your ear lobe applying firm but light sweeps to blend the bronzer into its place.
To soften and define the features of your face, work the blusher brush over your jawline. For those who are concerned regarding double chins, brush the contouring bronzer below the chin to produce a slimming shadow.

Finally, use the bronzing powder on each side of the nose to sculpt and slim the width of the bridge of the nose.

Then for the cream highlighter; this must be applied over the bronzer and should never come into touch with the powder. Remember about where the sun would normally fall on your face and with your fingers, rub and blend the cream into those areas. Begin with the center of your nose, the arc of you brow bone and your forehead.

A simple touch of highlighter on the edge of your eyes will provide you a wide awake appearance and on your cupid’s bow will give your lips that fuller look.

Complete by highlighting the peak of the cheekbones for the final sculpted model looks.

Use a light blush for a bit of color to finish the look.
